This harp is made along the lines of the ancient wire strung harps only lighter construction of the soundboard, back, and hardware to match the tension of the nylon strings
It has a closed back and the strings are mounted by means of toggles through the string holes, just like for wire harps
Antique plum-brown steel tuning pins and lightweight aluminum string shoes anodized to give the appearance of old brass
Yes, you would certainly look impressive playing this harp at a gathering or faire rather than an obviously modern harp
